Shady Lane Cafe - Broome

Great spot to have lunch in the shade under the mango trees. Food good and great fresh juices. I do recommend it.

After walking around in the heat, decided to have something to eat in a shady cafe.......Well it was shady, took 3/4 of an hour to get a menu, the staff kept telling me IN A MUNUTE, after finally getting a menu some 30 mins later took my order....... looking at other patrons food decided I would have something small, I thought, and ordered quiche !!!!!! when this quiche came, I poked around to find the eggs binding it, could hardly find them but LOTS OF SEMI COOKED ONION, some other vegetables and a peculiar smell....... after getting a waitress to complain, told her I would not eat this concoction, she told me I had to speak to the boss, who turned out to be the cook !!!!!!The upshot of this is me saying I was not paying for this and him saying I ordered quiche and that is what I got, and had to pay..........finally I said I would pay half which was not good enough, AND HE CALLED THE POLICE !!!!!!! After listening to both sides, was told there was nothing they could do and I should pay.......My review of this place, yes it is shady, being under trees, NO SERVICE, FOOD DISGUSTING, EAT ELSEWHERE, AFTER MY EXPERIENCE REALIZING THERE ARE MANY MORE PLACES TO EAT. USE THEM !!!!!

I enjoyed an eggs Atlantic while my wife had bacon and eggs with gluten free toast. Food was tasty, servings not too large and excellent coffee. Service was prompt and friendly. Can't fault this place.

Shady oasis on a hot day. Delicious freshly-squeezed juices. Relaxed atmosphere & comfy sofas. Service was OK but could be better.

Had been here before so only average this time. Delicious mango smoothie. Grilled barramundi was alright but the chips and salad (lettuce & grated carrot) were a bit sad. Maybe because it was 2pm?? Disappointing.
