Matso's Restaurant - Broome

Busy night on a Long Weekend, but with only two of us we managed to get a good table table inside next to a window. Quite noisy with many large groups eating there but creates a great atmosphere. It was a bit of a wait for the food though. Very tasty when we received it and their specialty beers are worth trying, especially the Mango Beer.

Dined here last night with a group. Our reserved table was directly in front of the entrance gate under a flood light. We choose to get our own drinks from the bar so we could pay as we go. Great singer on stage and we settled in with ciabata rolls with olive oil and dukka and singing along. However a little later singer changed for a dj and loud music so hard to talk. Long wait for meals. Eventually the pasta dishes all came out for about half the table. I had curry plate from Curry Hut which in hind sight was best choice for $30. For 2 of our group the wait for their meals was way too long. One had ordered pork belly with a seasonal melon salad. Looked like it was sitting on a bowl of fruit salad when it came. She said lucky the pork was nice. Overall a bit disappointed.

An absolute must when in Broome. Lunch was perfect and the beer tasting paddle was terrific. Not a fan of the angry ranga but the mango beer ticks all the boxes.

This place is a real tourist trap, Mango beer was excellent, the pathetic service we received and the food was a total embarrassment. The manager should be ashamed of themselves. This place could be a real spinner if managed better. Don't waste your valuable time here, try Matso's beer elsewhere.

Matso's beer is excellent however service and food very poor. If you wish to enjoy Matso's fine beer take yourself along to liquor land or any of the other many places in Broome that serve it. Very disappointing lunch to say the least. Staff obviously itinerant workers, no interest whatsoever.
