Contribute FeedbackWallabout restaurant has received mixed reviews from customers. Some have complained about the small portion sizes, limited menu options, and loud atmosphere. One customer even had a negative experience with the food being too spicy. However, others have praised the delicious food, friendly service, and creative drinks. Menu items like the avocado salad with grilled shrimp and the butterflied branzino have been highlighted as outstanding choices. The location is also highly regarded, with the restaurant being described as a gem in the Fort Greene area. Despite some shortcomings, Wallabout seems to have loyal customers who enjoy returning for the good food and welcoming atmosphere.
Our fourth time there we were disappointed that uttering on the half-shell and the herbal tempura were no longer on the menu; but the food remained excellent. the fish and chips have not found the crispy crust in less elegant places, but was delicious and very enjoyed as our other two decisions. we will return
Wallabout is always amazing! I love her brunch and dinner and it's such a nice room. would highly recommend.
The staff was extremely helpful with our somewhat disorganized group. They offer both classic and creative brunch options and have great drink selections.
Really cute room . for the brunch flown and had the shrimp pool boy. really good and not fried! my friends had the fischburger and an omelette. omelette was ok, but boring, I would go for the more interesting options. we also had the floorless brunch cocktails much too $15. I liked that they have a lot of not breakfast / egg dishes in the brunch menu, that eating felt definitiw increased. we saw people who fish the seafood specialty board from different raw. it looked great. in any case recommend .
I always love to try new restaurants around the city, especially in Brooklyn. I things I loved about Wallabout were the ambiance, the decor, coziness and comfort. Very intimate. Two things definitely bothered me... 1. when it was time to order, we were told they were out of mussels oysters and ceviche. That’s not a good look for a restaurant- to run out of food. This should be told to the patrons immediately when they’re being seated not after. I made the reservation specifically for the ceviche and oysters. I was very disappointed by that. 2. We weren’t even offered dessert. If this is a reoccurring thing I don’t think I’ll go back.
