Was OpenTable Diner at SoCo a mag?
Restaurant is too loud, the music should be lowered it’s difficult to have a conversation. My food was good, I had the pecan crusted pork chop. My date didn’t enjoy her short ribs but stated the sauce was great. View all feedback.
What SARAM dislikes about SoCo:
The service was great! The food was not good and we had to wait a long time for it. I had mentioned it was my husbands birthday in the reservation but unfortunately there was no effort on their part in making anything happen. We left disappointed and will not be returning. View all feedback.

It was perfect for brunch. the ambiente was great, the staff was friendly and the eating was delicious. I will be back on my next trip to nyc to try more about the menu.
This was my first time in soco, I was very satisfied with my experience. from the host who has brought us to our place, to the waitress who served us all, was so welcoming and professional. will definitely be back.
Eating was terrible, drinks were not good. they had no straws that say they go green. I wanted club-soda to be told only to someone who bought the last piece of club-soda. next to us there were patrons who did not eat their meal. first we thought it was just her because I was good here years ago and it was good, but not anymore. I couldn't finish my meal either, it just wasn't delicious. besides eating, the bathrooms are in repairs, rustic washbasins, no hand towels to dry their hands (oh they have gone green). Moreover, it was 9 o'clock on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was empty, another note on eating not good.
I love going to SoCo. Every time I return it’s like nostalgic, of real home cooked food very comforting but with class and sophistication for the presentation. It’s warming and welcoming coming here. Being greet when you came in was like coming to an old relatives house who you haven’t seen in years. We were seated by the very hospitable hostess and then greeted by our waitress sooner after. Their menu you short and sweet with a wide variety for every palate. We ordered apps; deviled eggs and smoked wings. I went with the BQE salmon burger which comes with a baked potato for my order and my partner with the chicken and waffles for his entree. Sealed the deal with a m&c for the table. The apps were gone as soon as they hit the table none other than delectable. The deviled eggs have a new touch with a crispy chicken skin on top and overloaded with mixed yolk filling. My BQE Salmon Burger was delicious! The taste of it was warm and buttery you can tell it was made to order and fresh. Soft and just right for the bun. The seasoning was all there if you wanted you could’ve ate the patty alone! However, it was made for the sandwich. Together on that bun, lettuce, tomatoes and that Zesty sauce it was phenomenal! I would definitely go for this option on the menu! The baked potato was lined with cheese and given sour cream on the side to light it up! This entree now is my favorite on the menu! I’ll be back to try so much more!

Our waitress was very nice. The food, on the other hand, was average (respectfully). When making a reservation, I requested outdoor dining but that wasn't available (which was disappointing). I thought it was interesting that the gratuity was already built into the check without giving an option to tip the waiter more than the calculated amount. Decent experience and enjoyable vibe overall. It just doesnt move me to come back in the near future.
A wonderful experience. The food was outstanding and the code was perfect: casual setting and excellent food. I love this place!
The fish was delicious. I am not a grits person but the grits were actually good. The problem regarding this restaurant is the wait time to be served when in a big party. People came in after me and my friends and were out before. Also, the server was nice but messed up the requests on my order. I also didn't like the fact that substitutions on side orders from the prefix brunch menu is not authorized.
The first table we were placed at was directly under a vent and was freezing cold, all of which they knew before hand. There were open tables in front of the restaurant that they refused to seat us at even though we were visibly uncomfortable. They eventually moved us to another table once that party left.

Great, attentive service but pretty forgettable food. The deviled eggs with crispy chicken skin sounded really good but the flavors weren't super well balanced. Too spicy with no real savory taste from the chicken skin. The steak was just fine a little tough but perfectly edible. Overall, the place was a little dark and loud.
The Sunday brunch was so really good. The food was amazing and everything really did taste amazing. The drinks were strong and delicious as well. There were a lot of people there at this time which prolonged our food more than the average time. We had a party of 6 people and had to ask for water a couple times instead of being given the water bottles for the entire table. There also weren 't able to accommodate a vegetarian who wanted to have red velvet waffles without thefried chicken. The dish wasn 't able to be separated, because it was a Soco Specialty . So be mindful of your dietary restrictions when coming here. Overall the experience and food was really good and the I would definitely go again.
I paid $78 for horrible take-out food. I inquired about their Prix Fixe menu, but was told it doesn 't exist. I requested a menu to take out. I was told they are too expensive to print and give away. I ordered vegetarian lasagna. The cheese was burned to a crisp on top. The gumbo was a disgrace. It contained three shrimp, no chicken, no andouile, no dirty rice (just plain rice in the same container--tacky). It lacked taste but was extremely hot and not in a good way. Itcontained copious amounts of corn. Why? Was this a filler to stretch this lackluster overpriced dish? I ordered the macaroni and cheese., Aunt Cruz ' macaroni and cheese to be exact. Horrible. Simply cooked noodles with cheese just thrownon top. It was extremely bland. So much title for a poorly prepared dish. I had a craving for okra and tomatoes--my main reason for (mistakenly) frequenting this establishment. The only favor profile of this undercooked dish was garlic. Thetomatoes were not even cut properly nor was the okra, both were uncooked. How disappointing. Lastly, I ordered the smoked vegetable flatbread. It was quite delicious. I traveled all the way from Bedford Stuyvesant and it was a wasted trip.I had to remind the staff to give me my receipt and my credit card. They were a tad chaotic, albeit very pleasant. I hate to give such nice people a bad review. Hopefully, it will help them step up to continue doing business in a bettermanner.
This has been my 2nd time here. Don't know why I waited so long to return. Gumbo hot spicy and fresh vegetables. Mmmmm and the ribs. What! A flavor like no other. ???????????? Mgmt took care of us and checked on us. Our waitress ???????????? nothing butlove. Made us feel like home!
I love this place. Someone took me here for my birthday. Such a great choice. I had jerk chicken wings with a side of mac n cheese. The chicken was so tender n the mac was flavorful. You can taste the gouda ???? the Rum punch was raved for but if youare a strong drinker, it would be considered weak to you. Me on the other hand is a light drinker so it snuck up on me and I hadonly one drink and had a buzz. Atmosphere was great. The waitress n server was bomb and respectful. Looking forward to goingback in the near future. BTW: music was on point as well and they gave me a dessert(didn't get a chance to eat it ???? and sunghappy birthday to me. It was cute. Overall great experience.

The service at SoCo was excellent. I ordered only home fries, and they were tasty. However, the menu could use some improvement, as there aren’t many appealing food options. Additionally, the drink selection needs a complete overhaul.
I visited SoCo with my mom during the final hour of their Saturday brunch and had an amazing experience. The host welcomed us so warmly that my mom jokingly said it felt like we were old friends...
