Was Rory at Pyza a mag?

One of the best tripe soups (especially considering how simple and smooth the broth was) I've had in some time. A generous amount of tripe and a wonderful texture to them. I was told the pierogi were quite tasty too. Would definitely go back for more View all feedback.

No frills delicious Polish home cooked comfort food. A must try! This place was recommended to me by my Polish friend and she claims it's the most authentic borscht in the city. It did not disappoint. It's the kind of homey hardy comfort food you want on a cold day. The cheese potato pierogis always hit and paired so well with the sauerkraut side. The pickles we're good with the meat pierogis. The Ukrainian borscht was warm and seasoned. It's decent portions for decent prices. The service was nice and food came out quick. There's plenty of seating indoors. The interior has minimal decor and Polish TV playing. There's nice art work that kind of reminds me of being in someone's home.

One of the last remaining authentic Polish restaurants in an ever evolving neighborhood... delicious food tastes just like grandmas! Family owned, big portions, traditional homemade taste, polish TV in the background.. a little slice of Poland.. and what Greenpoint used to be.Recommend the cutlets huge! and the pierogis. Even if you're vegan, you can come for some side salads... best beet salad I've ever had.Pro tip: You can tell this place is a gem simply by the amount of locals that come here... it's a go to spot for Polish people themsleves!

Came here for a traditional Polish lunch, and left so, so satisfied. My fav were the Zéberka (Spare ribs they were cooked perfectly. I also loved the potato pancakes with the goulash (Placek Po Węgiersku? . ALSO: try the seasonal beet soup. It's served cold, and was so refreshing on the hot day. I'll be back, many, many times!

This place reminds me of a traditional Polish milk bar. They seem to only take cash and have a pretty old-fashioned vibe, as I'm not sure they’re available on any ordering apps or for delivery. You have to go in person for dine-in or takeout. The food is delicious!

The food is absolutely delightful. I enjoyed the mushroom sauerkraut pierogi topped with grilled onions; it was incredibly fresh and flavorful. My partner really enjoyed the kielbasa dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and red cabbage.

Thank you, Pyza!! I'm a Polish American from Florida, and I recently visited Little Poland where I discovered Pyza—the best and most authentic Polish food I've ever had, right after my grandma's, of course. Be sure to order the Polish plate, the Pyza, the borscht, the potato pancakes, the flaki, and the gołąbki. You're welcome!

The Polish food here is delicious, authentic, affordable, and very filling. The Polish Platter is really meant for two people. It's a no-frills, casual spot that only accepts cash (there's no ATM on site).

Delicious food that really hits the spot. Had the Polish Plate but definitely needed the doggy bag, very generous portions. The borscht was packed with flavor and was the perfect accompaniment to the plate.

One of the best spots for European (Polish) cuisine, this restaurant only accepts cash. Don't miss the hash browns with beef—it's an incredible dish! All the portions are quite generous and reasonably priced. It's the perfect place for a lunch outing.

I rate Pyza 5 starts because of the great balance between food and price. This is an easy and cheap authentic Polish restaurant in Greenpoint with a lot of options written both in Polish and English on the menu. They show Polish tv shows and news on tv. Food is good, been there twice and will definitely go back!

I absolutely love visiting this restaurant for authentic Polish cuisine over the years. The food here reminds me of the comforting meals made by Polish mothers, and it always leaves me satisfied. I tried the pyza with a side of coleslaw, and it had a wonderfully soft exterior with a flavorful meat filling. Everything on the menu is delicious and reasonably priced.

This restaurant offers authentic Polish home-cooked food. It's a self-service setup where you place your order with the friendly staff at the counter and then pick up your tray. The portions are generous, although the food leans a bit towards the greasy side. I highly recommend the Kielbasa, which you can order as a side even though it's not listed on the menu. We tried the Polish plate and the chicken cutlet, along with a side of Kielbasa. The Polish plate, priced at $14, includes a salad, pickles, kielbasa, pierogi, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, and mashed potatoes. Each cutlet or entree also comes with two sides.

Flash back to elementary school cafeteria. Warm and hearty food that you can enjoy wholeheartedly. I ordered pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes and coleslaw beets salad as side. The mashed potatoes were soft and creamy/buttery. The schnitzel was crispy and meat was tender. Beets salad was sweet and refreshing. Coselaw was nice and crunchy; not overwhelming with mayo flavor. There is no gravy or sauce. Since that tasted good, I also got tripe soup. Warning... It is hot! But very delicious and packed with flavor from herbs, celery, carrots. You can soak it all up with the sour bread slices they give you. Only regret... I should have gotten cucumber salad, since I love it, but didn't know they had it. I'll definitely be coming back. They don't provide water, you have to clean your table after finishing (just like polish school cafeteria). Highly recommend it to anyone.
