We dined-in and had the meatloaf bun, pulled pork rice bowl, pulled pork tater tots, and chocolate banana pudding. Everything was very decent, and not too greasy nor too salty or sweet for soul food. The food was prepared for us so we had to wait a few moments but I prefer that over being served food that's already made and has been siting there for the whole day. Service was good too. What Danny Kabouni doesn't like about Memphis Seoul:
I hate writing reviews on restaurants, but oh..my..god did I need to write one for this spot. I asked the lady if she could recommend any favorites. Seems like many of the poor reviews date back from months or years ago, maybe the place has improved lately? Will definitely return and recommend.
Wanted to try something different and my kids settled on this. They really enjoyed the chicken tenders and I loved the pulled pork. The staff was very patient and accommodating. My family and I will be back for sure.Food: 5/5
I hate writing reviews on restaurants, but oh..my..god did I need to write one for this spot. I asked the lady if she could recommend any favorites. There was so much coleslaw on top of the buns that you couldn’t even taste the tiny slivers of over-fried protein. Couldn’t tell if i was eating catfish or chicken. No flavor at all. Just mush.Sides: Their signature cheese noodles looked like spaghetti cooked last week and heated up in the microwave. It looked nothing like the picture. The collard greens were alright.I think I ended up paying like $37 for all that. Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food you get out of it.
I walked by this place so many times and the pictures and smells always made me hungry, I was so excited to try it.It’s been a long time living in nyc I was let down so badly. All the staff there seems to be brand new and was in training, they were nice and friendly, but seemed completely overwhelmed and lacked any awareness of how to actually complete orders. We ordered half pork ribs and a bulgogi meatloaf with sides in store, it took about 20-25 minutes to give us our food to take out, which wouldn’t be so bad if all the food was cooked to order (it isn’t minus sunny side up eggs they make for bowls We walked home and upon walking in the door hungry, realized they had given us the complete wrong order. We called they were apologetic and asked us to come back to know who’s order they had given us and to correct it. We went back and got our correct order and after almost an hour ordeal of ordering in person, finally got to try the food.It was absolutely stone cold, it was like it hadn’t even been attempted to be heated. The sauces were overly spicy (and didn’t come with a warning, I got the Elvis sauce which just said sweet and the sides were dry and honestly tasted like they came from a supermarket.Im sorry to have to right this review but so many things went wrong, it was most definitely not worth the price we paid (50$ , and most importantly the food was just not good.
I’m giving two stars because the customer service was good, the person at the counter gave me and my wife advice about what to ea, since this was our first time in the restaurant…. After ordering the food the wait was like 10 minutes which is not bad, but the food itself was not good, is wasn’t fresh, I ordered the BBQ Jackfruit, so disappointed it was like eating a full spoon of BBQ sauce straight from the jar, the sides were cornbread and pickles, the pickles weren’t fresh, the best of my order was the bread… now my wife asked for some meatloaf with coleslaw and cheese ramen…. also the flavor was a disaster in all of it, the coleslaw was not fresh… to be short we ate one spoon of each thing and throw the food to the garbage. 50 dollars to the trash, basically. Completely dissatisfied and will not recommend to nobody.
