Lateen has never failed me. Discovered this place about 4 years ago. It's my go to when I'm in the neighborhood or craving Thai. It's a very small cozy spot, with a warm vibe. Noise is never an issue and indoor and outdoor seating creates the perfect ambiance for either date night or a gala night out. What Celena C doesn't like about Lantern Thai Kitchen Bk 11201:
Decent service and Thai food. I came for lunch and got the lunch set. The Pad Thai was good nothing out of the ordinary. The noodles seemed extra chewy, which I actually liked. The Thai Style Shumai was not so good. I wouldn't order them again. View all feedback.
I've been going to this place for years and it definitely is a neighborhood staple that is quite nice for a local Thai spot. In my opinion, it is the perfect place to meet up with a small group or for a one-on-one meal. In terms of service, they have always brought the food orders out quickly within minutes after I've placed my order. It's nice to sit on the sidewalk and have a meal when it's not congested and it's also nice to sit inside even though it is super dark inside. They have tons to select from on their menu, which includes seafood and more and they also have quite a few drink options. Their food is tasty and seasoned pretty well and the service is on point. I love coming here with family too!
I've been to Lantern Thai twice once on the day I moved into the neighborhood, and again today, the night before I move out. Both times were equally underwhelming. I had vegetable dumplings for an appetizer. They were very clearly store bought and microwaved, and tasted awful. The veggies inside were so bland, it was like eating a dough wrapped icicle. Definitely steer clear of these. For mains, I've tried both the pad thai and the pad see ew. The pad thai is fine, not bad, not particularly good. The pad see ew from today's dinner, however, was also disappointing. It tasted like pure oil, with a hint of salt, and maybe some noodles to be found under all of that. So unnecessarily heavy, and left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. Service is very quick, and apparently they have a loyal following for takeout. But if I had never moved to this part of Brooklyn, I never would have stopped in here for a meal...and I would have been totally okay with that.

A creature of habit, I usually have spring rolls for appetizers, pineapple fried rice with or without shrimp and if I'm in the mood for booz, I go with the lychee martini. The serving is quite huge and there's plenty to eat and take home. If budget friendly with quality eats motivates your choices, this will always be a good one. Customer service is always good and I have never had a bad experience. Snuk (enjoy)
I've heard about this restaurant for years, and finally stopped in for their lunch special. It was just okay, I'd return if I were in the neighborhood and wanted a lunch special. The service and presentation of the food just seemed very low effort. I had pad see ew noodles with shrimp and it was a 7, the shrimp dumplings were a 6. To drink I had the lychee juice. I was sat in a dark corner that seemed like it was for storage, besides me were chairs stacked halfway to the ceiling, assuming those were for outside.
