Reviews - Dixie Bbq
Reviews summary
In the vibrant restaurant scene, opinions about a local kosher establishment are decidedly mixed. Diners rave about the flavorful burgers and inventive menu items, praising the quick service and delicious options like slushies and grilled chicken salads. However, criticisms abound regarding subpar chicken dishes that suffer from an overwhelming dough-to-chicken ratio, rubbery texture, and lack of taste. Service issues, including incorrect orders and unhelpful staff responses, further dampen the experience. While some patrons enjoy the culinary offerings, others warn against visiting due to inconsistent food quality and poor service, leaving potential diners divided on what to expect.

Delicious and tasty food. ???? Sauces were a great addition. Recommended 100%, go and try it out.
Excellent variety of different style burgers sandwiches appetizers and drinks including fruit slushes and non dairy milkshakes food was delicious would be nice if they would offer table service and also if they would improve their descriptions on the menuit was a little hard to understand what's what.
The burger was not cooked fully, red throughout, the exterior appeared to be cooked, until you bite in. I?m hoping not to get diarrhea.. I live down the block on Avenue H so Im always on Avenue J supporting fellow Israeli owned businesses.
Very nice place beautifully designed. Great burgers I got the Dixie Burger and the Dixie Dog both amazing! Great employees very helpful and sweet especially that Israeli guy.
It's a nice restaurant with a great amount of space. The atmosphere gives off a new vibe and the restaurant is very clean. There are a few good items off the menu to choose from. The food came out hot and fresh and was absolutely delicious. The service wasdecent in helping me decide what to get from the menu. This is a good place for lunch.

While in the area, I decided to try the burger lunch special at this restaurant. I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly. It was the best burger I've had in a long time.
Decided to try something new and can say I was pleased. The menu makes you want to try everything ? ?That said, definitely be sure to check what topping you're getting with what. I'm not a fan of mushrooms and the sausage-loaded fries came with alot.
Chicken fingers should be renamed- a thin strip o chicken with 500 dough or crust ratio to chicken, if you have dentures , crowns or sensitive teeth do not attempt. What happened to flavor, rubbery chicken, tasteless, and overcooked. It appears that the chicken was precooked and refried. DISAPPOINTED!!!! OVER PRICED RUBBERY TASTE LESS CHICKEN. Does the kosher eating population really believe it is good or do they have uneducated palate? Or accept that it is good because it is kosher. It is another disappointment. The question is can there be really good kosher fried chicken? Dixie fried chicken is not recommended.
The chicken fingers at this restaurant should be called something else - they are thin strips of chicken with a dough or crust ratio that overwhelms the chicken. If you have dentures, crowns, or sensitive teeth, I would not recommend trying them. There is a lack of flavor, the chicken is rubbery, tasteless, and overcooked. It seems like the chicken was precooked and refried. I was very disappointed with the high price for such rubbery and tasteless chicken. I wonder if the kosher eating population actually thinks it's good or if they just accept it because it's kosher. This fried chicken was another letdown. Can there really be delicious kosher fried chicken? I would not recommend the Dixie fried chicken.
Food is subpar especially for the price. Service is worse. Tables are dirty.I asked to have my burger sliced in half. It came unsliced. When I asked again I was told to take a plastic knife cuz the kitchen was too busy. The loaded fries are soggy unappealing. The pastrami burger looks as bland as it tastes.Whoever seasoned the sautéed caned mushrooms on top of my hotdog forgot what the word sautéed means and also confused the word “seasoning” with the word “snoozing”.Will never step foot back in this place and neither should you.
