super under rated spot! such a great casual hand roll spot. The prices are affordable and each roll is great! I had about 5 rolls while talking to a friend and we kept stopping to talk about how great each roll was. Nice simple fresh and tasty. definitely try for a quick bite. View all feedback.
What Cassidy Morar doesn't like about Daigo Sushi Roll:
First time trying this place and safe to say I was very unimpressed. I ordered the eel avocado roll, mackerel roll, spicy salmon roll and juicy shrimp roll via ubereats. Nothing wowed me and the rolls weren't full at all. The ginger in my order looked like it was from the bottom of a bucket because it was all small shaved pieces. I had a fantastic lunch at Daigo. It was actually a standing meal since there's no seating—it's more of a standing bar vibe. I had two hand rolls and a miso soup, and everything was outstanding. The rolls were fresh, and the rice was top-notch. The soup was excellent as well. I've had worse meals at some fancy omakase restaurants and paid more for them. This wasn’t just a quick bite; it was a delightful experience!
This restaurant is a fantastic choice for sushi! The spicy tuna and salmon rolls are amazing, and the takeout options are excellent. I highly recommend it!
This is my go-to sushi spot in the area. Their rolls are straightforward and truly highlight the freshness of the fish and the quality of all the ingredients. While the classic options are excellent, my personal favorite is the Seared Black Cod, which I haven't found anywhere else. The Jumbo Shrimp roll is also a refreshing twist on the typical shrimp tempura roll.
The rolls didn't taste super fresh and tasted like I bought it from a grocery store instead. After all 4 rolls, I felt like I ate air because it wasn't fulfilling and they were small. Note: photo was taken after I ate a piece lol!
Hand down the best sushi on the go. The fish is fresh and the ratio of fish to rice is unmatched by others in this category. There are many sushi like restaurants all over brooklyn, this is not one of them.
