Was Farin Chowdhury at Colala a mag?

Took a lunch special 'to go ' from there once. The environment is good. They have a spacious waiting room. Staff is extremely friendly. The food is good. They have bubble tea (which is hard to find in that area). View all feedback.

What Frank-in-SF dislikes about Colala:

Two of us stopped here for lunch on the way to the Brooklyn Museum. It is an unassuming but cute place only steps from the museum entrance. It couldn't be more convenient. Prices were rather reasonable for New York, and the service was personable and accommodating. Appetizers were tasty. Soft shell crab and scallion pancake were crisp; the latter was a bit greasy but quite good nonetheless. The entrees included sprin... View all feedback.

Service was poor and unfriendly. One server tried to be nice. Food was okay. Gratuity was included. Won't be back.

Soup was extremely salty and the noodles of the ramen were stuck together in a clump. The employee had a really unwelcoming attitude and seemed annoyed when we were there. Another weird thing was when we asked for the restroom, she said she didn’t have one for customers and to go down the street. But she gave the key to another customer when they asked for the restroom.

Prices were rather reasonable for New York, and the service was personable and accommodating. Appetizers were tasty. Soft shell crab and scallion pancake were crisp; the latter was a bit greasy but quite good nonetheless. The entrees included spring rolls, which were delicious, and fried rice, which had a somewhat odd texture but very juicy cubes of roast pork. The roast pork in my eggplant with garlic sauce and pork, however, was pretty dried out. The eggplant itself was very soft and silky, exactly as I like it. Green beans with shrimp was a great choice. I'd definitely recommend this place for a quick noontime bite.

I can here to order sushi, I ask how big the serve was and she said I can’t tell you. So made it very hard to order. I ordered California Rolls. It was ok. I also ordered the pork noodle soup. Are the meat then and veggies then left. Way to much noodles not enough protein for the price you pay. I won’t be back they need to be nicer. When I asked about the sushi and everything was frozen I was like ok I won’t order fresh fish then!

The food is amazing. Service is fine but the staff are not friendly. No judgement on that, only they are very task oriented. The atmosphere was amazingly beautiful. I would come back here over and over again. This place is perfect for a cold winter night.Thank youGod bless

We checked the reviews and it looked like an average place and was nearby from where we were. So I went there with my family. Total we were 5 people. The lady was rude and she kept repeating “we won’t serve you. No waiters”. We kept saying “we got it no problem!”Then the food arrives and the ramen was the worst I ever had in any other place! The bento box was more expensive compared to other places and was a 6/10. Overall the experience wasn’t good and will definitely not recommend wasting your time, appetite and money here.

I popped in for a quick bite. I was craving cooked sushi. The vibes here was friendly and serene.I got the black dragon roll. The woman who took my order was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and kind. The shrimp tempura was crispier than normal, the avocado was fresh and the eel sauce was sweet. I received a generous amount of refreshing pieces of ginger too.The roll was super delightful. I'll be coming here again for that roll specifically.

We have consistently ordered takeout here for the last 4 years and they are always speedy, delicious, and kind. The dumplings are enormous, the egg rolls are stuffed, and wonton soup is always a good idea. Highly recommended!
