Luckily, we quickly found a table, but eventually opted to sit outside. Their selection of baked goods is so tempting that you’ll want to try them all. The service is pretty good and very friendly, although there was some confusion about where to place our order. It was odd that the payment line didn’t clearly indicate how to order. At one point, I almost made the mistake of trying to place my order at a server's terminal, thinking they were taking orders there. One item from our order was overlooked, but considering the bustling atmosphere and limited staff, it wasn’t a major problem. Overall, I would definitely come back!

This kind of unnecessary commentary really detracted from the experience. I’m sure their other locations might be fine, but I strongly advise against visiting this one. They seem to hire people who lack basic interpersonal skills.

In my opinion, it is the best coffee shop in New Yo... read more I have been a regular customer at this Greenpoint location for 8 years, visiting three or four times a week. In my opinion, it is the best coffee shop in New York City for several reasons. Firstly, they do not play music loudly, and sometimes there is no music at all, creating a peaceful atmosphere similar to a calm library. Secondly, the spacious layout is rarely crowded, making it easy to find a seat to work on my laptop. Additionally, the staff allows customers to bring in outside food as long as they also purchase something from the shop.

Normally, I steer clear of it every fall, but this one struck a perfect balance, with a lovely subtlety that wasn’t overly sweet or too overpowering in pumpkin flavor. Additionally, the cardamom tea cake is fantastic; it’s definitely worth the effort to savor a slice, as if you’re on an epic journey akin to the great adventures of ancient empires just for that moment.
