Description

A neighborhood Nigerian restaurant that divides diners: lively music, striking wall art and occasional friendly service contrast with frequent order mistakes, long waits, missing menu prices and inconsistent food quality. Some traditional dishes (egusi, oha soup, pounded yam) are flavorful and generous, while others arrive cold, overseasoned, or with tough or tiny portions. Delivery and online ordering are hit-or-miss, and unexpected charges have been reported. Best for adventurous diners willing to risk an inconsistent but sometimes rewarding meal.

Wicked foolish people. I ordered yam and egg. The description says with tomatoes, pepper and onions. They gave me eggs with no tomatoes and barely any peppers and onions. It was drained in oil and looked disgusting. See pictures below. They are crooks and this place needs to be closed down.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that hates its customers- look no further! After struggling to place a delivery order (half the menu was unavailable) I called and received instructions on how to order online. After giving up and placing a pick up order- it was radio silence for 45 min. I called 3x (2x no one answered) to finally get someone who acted like they didn’t see my order.Once we go to pick up the food, the chicken stew didn’t come with rice. Instead of just getting us rice, the rude worker is going back and forth with me insisting I never called and shouldn’t have ordered online (even tho he told me to). When I went to verify if i called the right place, the phone rang right beside him and he started to change his story. Pathetic.Over priced food. Terrible service. Miserable workers. Steer clear!

We came here from out of town and had a terrible experience. The waitress did not know any of the food on the menu and once we ordered the food was not what we had expected. The grilled talipia had no taste and they served us cold food. Would not recommend any of the stews as they are not as advertised. The owner is extremely rude and really give Africans a bad name which is quit unfortunate.

This was my first experience with West African cuisine, and I chose to try the goat and egusi stew, along with fufu and plantains. The sauce was rich and full of flavor, the plantains were perfectly ripe, and the fufu made for a great starchy side. Unfortunately, the goat meat was incredibly tough and practically inedible; it was clearly not cooked properly, and I struggled to bite through it. I was quite disappointed that I couldn't enjoy the meat, but everything else was delicious.

The server who attended to us was incredibly pleasant, and the oha soup with pounded yam was simply delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal accompanied by some ginger drink!
