Was Leah Kosman at Beasts & Bottles a mag?

We visited this restaurant for Father's Day brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was very friendly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fried chicken and gravy. The French toast was also excellent. We all tried some desserts, which were tasty. They have a nice variety of cocktails - I particularly enjoyed the cucumber agave. We will definitely be returning for dinner! View all feedback.

What Elmira Von dislikes about Beasts & Bottles:

One of the worst meals I had in the last memory. It took 45 minutes to get appetizers. Salad was devastated and unearthed. Tuna Tartare ice cold, bad texture, like bad hotel food. The wine list has shrunk beyond recognition and no SOMM left to help Diners. The food was either contaminated or dreadfully oversold. Felt caught. If it wasn't so late and lasted so long to get AppetiZers, would have gone before Entrees and... View all feedback.

This was a great find in a city of many good finds. Wine selection is outstanding, the food top par.

Consistantly exceptional, rich fare from one of the best chefs in Brooklyn and a staff that are unpretentious yet informed... Buzzing with life, refreshing, and chill... Kinda like eating at your rich friends' vacation house.

What a miserable meal.

Second time there with a group and everything was perfect both times. New favorite villa spot!

Best fried chicken- flexible with substituting vegetables for potatoes. Responded to our request to lower the music. Good wine by the glass list. Nice place for dinner- quiet on weeknights.

Excellent food, wine list a bit impoverished, but still interesting.

Overall area and decor is very nice with a beautiful wall of live plants. However the service was very poor. I could not hear a word the waitress said she was speaking so low compared to the music playing in the background. I asked to be moved from the booth to another table and another male server was very rude and unfriendly about the situation meanwhile there were plenty of seats available. After careful consideration for my request to be seated elsewhere, because the booth was very uncomfortable and tight, he said my party could go to table 15 with an attitude as if we knew which table was number 15. Overall food was delicious but unnecessarily overpriced. The scallops were delicious but incredibly expensive for three small pieces as well as the cauliflower. They charge for bread as well for $4! I would not eat here again because the service was very unfriendly and the food was not worth the price listed on the menu.
