I made a reservation more than two months ago for a group of... read more I have enjoyed previous experiences with Battersby, but was disappointed with my latest experience. I made a reservation more than two months ago for a group of 4 and obviously was looking forward to a special meal. When we arrived, we were shown to a table stuck in the back of the restaurant in a hallway that leads from the kitchen to the garden (not in use at this time , with the table pushed against a wall. The set-up was incredibly cramped (the server could not even reach my seat to serve me . Of our four seats, two faced each other whereas two were seated side-by-side facing the wall. While the service from most of the servers was good, one server dropped silverware on my step-dad (actually hurting him! and didn't even apologize. Overall, while the food is generally good, the service and whole experience was very disappointing. I'm really going to think hard about going back the next time.
