I assumed it might... read more I ordered several items from Temptations Cafe yesterday. While enjoying my tomato and chevre panini, I unexpectedly bit into something hard. I assumed it might be a tough stalk from fresh herbs, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a metal staple. This is both disgusting and bizarre. How could a staple even be near the food preparation area? It almost feels like a cruel joke or the result of a careless employee. Thankfully, I didn't injure myself, but it left me feeling uneasy about the rest of my order. Grub Hub was quick to issue a refund for the sandwich, but I believe they should have refunded the entire order, as I didn't feel comfortable eating anything else. Overall, this was a ridiculous and regrettable experience.

The food is fresh and delicious, and I think the prices are reasonable for any spot in Brookline. I particularly enjoyed the Roasted Tomato & Chevre Panini – both the flavor and the portion size were fantastic! The seating is quite comfortable, although there are limited outlets. The music is at an ideal volume, allowing for easy conversations with friends or focused work. The staff were incredibly friendly! However, I wasn't a fan of the chai latte; I found it lacking in spice and sweetness. I also love that the café operates on solar power!
