This is an outstanding spot to visit after a movie at the Coolidge Corner Theater. The pizza was fantastic, just as expected. However, the real standout was the polenta: it was creamy and thick, topped with fresh corn kernels that added a delightful sweetness. we want to go for years to prairie fire, but somehow never. we went last night and had a wonderful meal served by board that was the ideal server. interesting, informative, attentive, but never intrusive. the Arugula salad was very well balanced and generous. brussel sprouts w/pretzel crumble was so delicious. Always amazing eating, good wine and good service! the gnocchetti verde was really unrealistic.
Polenta from this world, bass from this world. nice warm joint. salat perfectly dressed, not excessively done. 10:10 will be back.
Two important warnings before you go: First: Go only for the pizza. The salad is fine, but avoid the pasta and seafood. They are nothing special. The pizza, however, is worth it—and you can customize it with any toppings. We are big fans of anchovy and onion. Second: Watch out!!! They tend to burn the pizza. That is their style, expect a quarter of it to be charred black. If you prefer it less cooked, make sure to tell them clearly that you want it lightly done. Or you will be disappointed.
