Cafe fixe has some of the best espresso drinks I have ever had. Their cappuccino has the perfect amount of milk and has a beautiful complex and smooth coffee flavor. I appreciate their dislike of people setting up their laptops and occupying tables for a long time, as this is a coffee shop and not your personal office. The coffee here is definitely great. I ordered a hot latte, and it was perfect. However, I also tried the spinach and cheese croissant, which was served cold. I found out they don't have a microwave, which is strange to me. It seems odd that they would choose to serve items that should be warm, or at least reheated, cold. The owner kept looking at me. I know I was upsetting him somehow but I couldn't stop laughing. That seemed to irk him even more.
Great place to get a cup of coffee and relax for a few or get on the go. Everyone is friendly. You get your coffee pretty quickly. Glad we have good coffee...
I couldn't be happier that I finally stopped into Cafe Fixe! First off- the espresso is excellent. Best Barrington I've had all over Mass. I got an espresso, an espresso and tonic and a mocha. All three were excellent in their own way. The espresso and tonic may be the stand out- the top shelf tonic and the great espresso made for the best drink I've had in 2020, easily. The mocha was on point too- not too sticky sweet, great flavor. Next, 8oz drinks!! I've been looking for a cafe that served 8oz drinks for over a year now and I've finally found it! This is my new go to when I'm anywhere near by.
The toffee cookie and iced chai were delicious! The cashier was extremely friendly. I deducted half a star because they only have chocolate flavoring for drinks. Aside from that, I truly enjoyed my time at this café. They were playing jazz music, and the atmosphere was perfect for journaling or reading.
Best coffee in town.
