Pampano is a popular choice for those looking for delicious Mexican seafood in midtown Manhattan. The restaurant is known for its great atmosphere, excellent food, and outstanding service. Some highlights include the shrimp quesadilla, the homemade guacamole, and chips, and the option to sit outside on the deck. While the prices may be a bit high for some, the consistency and quality of the food make it worth it for many customers. Overall, Pampano is a must-visit for those seeking a taste of Mexico in the heart of New York City.

What rebecca boomgaarden dislikes about Painters' Restaurant:
So loud in there. The waitress said she didn't hear the appetizer order so we got it after our dinner. I guess we should have skipped it- mozzarella sticks was one chuck of mozzarella breaded and fried. It was just my husband and me dining there. We were glad no one came with us- couldn't have held a conversation. The service was quick on everything besides the appetizer. Oh well. View all feedback.
You know you are in a good, authentic place when the food literally transports you to your grandmother's house when you were a child. The black bean soup had this fantastic combination of ingredients that I have not found anywhere but in my grandma's kitchen. That soup, by itself, was worth the trip. The sword fish appetizer was very good and the pisco sour was fantastic (I know, pisco sour is not Mexican, but in any case, it was very refreshing and perfectly mixed). Price wise, well you are in NYC ... 'nough said.
Pampano Is always excellent. Delicious and creative Mexican seafood in midtown Manhattan, One of my favorite dishes is the shrimp quesadilla--served open face with light salad, amazing sauce and perfectly cooked. It is the perfect choice for lunch. Homemade guacamole and chips, prepared however you desire is fantastic. I enjoy taking business partners here since they are always pleased with their meals. Consistency makes the difference. On nice days, consider sitting outside on the deck--you won't be sorry.
Fine seafood with a Mexican twist. Good service adds to the meal. Convenient east mid town location. Worth the typical pricey NY cost.
Food and service was excellent It was a bit noisy but we had a nice dinner Will definitely return
