Bj's Bakery - Brookfield
Bj's Bakery
Description
BJ’s presents a practical, variety-rich warehouse alternative: well stocked with bulk goods and organic options, a friendly deli and bakery, and helpful self-checkout attendants. Yet guests report inconsistent staffing, long lines, and occasional rude or undertrained employees, which undermines the shopping experience. On-site conveniences include a liquor corner and gas pumps, though selections can be limited and pump ergonomics frustrating. Worthwhile for bulk and organic shoppers seeking less crowded aisles, BJ’s would benefit from tighter customer-service training and better inventory consistency.

I visited the restaurant on December 29, 2022, and while I was waiting in line as the third customer, Daniel M. closed the register to take his break. It was frustrating because I ended up being the last in line, and he rudely dismissed me in front of the other staff. The restaurant should consider hiring employees who are more dedicated to their jobs and who care about customers, rather than prioritizing their breaks over providing good service. I felt that I shouldn't have had to be so patient in this situation.
I would not recommend visiting this BJ Tire Center. The staff are extremely rude and will dismiss you if you don't have an appointment. I arrived to find no one there, and they refused to help me with a simple tire rotation. Save your time and look elsewhere.
On Sunday, February 6th, I saw a long line for customer service. One employee was struggling to assist customers while waiting for help. She spent 15 minutes trying to serve a couple of clients, but no one came to assist her except for another worker who seemed unfamiliar with the customer service process. It wasn’t that she was rude; she just wasn’t trained for that role. Meanwhile, I watched as other staff members noticed the line but did nothing to help. Ultimately, I left without renewing my membership. I might return to do it eventually, mainly because they carry some items that Costco doesn’t offer. Also, BJ's really needs to fix their gas pump handles. Why do I have to hold the handle down against the small lever to pump gas? It’s frustrating, especially when I’m spending my money there. Is anyone even supervising BJ's?
I finally checked out their tiny liquor storeVery limited selectionNot impressiveIn the main store I could not find apple cider vinegarMaybe I didn't look hard enoughThere's not many people around to help
It's okay. I think you get better value and customer service for around the same price at Costco. Kind of just sad and weird in there, hardly any associates, most checkouts are done in self check out lanes, most of the produce I've purchased here hasn't been the best either, but it'll get the job done if you're gonna use it that day. I did get a membership gifted to me but will not be renewing once it is up at the end of this month and will be going back to Costco, as I only made probably 4 trips here the whole year and while I don't have anything horrible to say, nothing great either.
