Ruth's Chris Steak House

We had a reservation for 9pm, but when we arrived, the hostess in the red shirt seemed confrontational because two members of our party arrived right at the end of our grace period. The staff appeared angry and irritated that customers were actually showing up, which we found to be absurd. Our server was very nice and we tipped her generously for making our celebration special. The food was good, but not exceptional given the high bill of over $1000. The cocktails were delicious, but the bar closed before we could order more. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet, but the experience was not worth the high price. With a party of 10, decent food, and unfriendly staff, we felt the bill should have been half the amount.

We had an excellent Mother's Day lunch that was enjoyed by everyone. Our server, Larry, was very personable. The food arrived in a timely manner, with the understanding that a good steak takes 30-40 minutes to grill properly.

I was hoping to have a nice dinner after a tough day while staying at the hotel. My server/bartender was fantastic and apologetic, however I ordered a medium steak that came out very rare. It was sent back once, and came back still very rare, just a touch more cooked. I ended up settling for it as I was starved at that point and I had waited a while. Again, my server was very apologetic and the manager offered a free dessert, but the dessert never arrived after waiting 30+ minutes and I chose to just check out. For the money paid, the location, and the hope to have a nice dinner, I left really disappointed.

My go to entertainment and special occasion destination! Best service, food, atmosphere, ambience and amenities in town. I eat there at least 3-4 times a year and EVERY meal has been superb and perfect. The wait staff work overtime to make the meal a real dining experience and know their craft. With over 40 lunches and dinners there I have NEVER had a bad meal or dining experience! In baseball lingo, they are batting a thousand!

Everything about Ruth's Chris in Birmingham, AL was great! Host and waitress were wonderful. Drinks, appertiser ,steak, sides and desert were so very good. We have enjoyed Ruth's Chris in Atlanta, Jacksonville, Birmingham, Metairie, New Orleans many times and dining expereince was always better than good. Chris and boith think last night was the best!
