What Neal Johnson doesn't like about Over Easy:
Went here for breakfast and enjoyed it very much. We had the Pepe Le French Toast and the Biscuits n' Gravy. The French Toast was great with sausage and bacon. There wasn't too much cream cheese between the French Toast but enough so that syrup really isn't needed. The biscuits n' gravy were good but the gravy was somewhat bland. They really do need more help. To wait for 30 minutes to get a seat and another 30 minutes to get food is pretty long. Otherwise they are very friendly and they are trying their best to put out the food as soon as they can. Eggs and bacon was great but the grits were watery and kind of off putting with the purple color.
I had my food delivered while I was at work. As I was almost done I found the red pepper still had the sticker on it as pictured below. Everything else was good, but I was through when I saw that.

Great Breakfast…Hash Basket was amazing and those blue grits are worth coming back for, again and again!!
Very good breakfast spot in Birmingham. Hash baskets are a full meal. Clean friendly place.
