The Pine Tree Cafe is a high-quality restaurant located at the New York Botanical Garden, offering guests delicious meals at affordable prices. During my visit to the garden in January 2022, I treated my wife and myself to dinner at the Pine Tree Cafe. We both ordered a pizza each and were pleased to find it well-seasoned, tasty, and delicious. In adherence to COVID-19 safety measures, the cafe ensured that tables were appropriately distanced and hand sanitizers were easily accessible. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Pine Tree Cafe and enjoyed our time there.
Review of vegan dining options: I was pleasantly surprised to discover some tasty choices at this restaurant. The farro salad was particularly satisfying, combining a variety of flavors like shallots, olives, capers, and golden raisins. The roasted broccoli tofu sandwich was also a hit, with an enjoyable taste and a delicious ciabatta loaf. There was also a turmeric hummus available, although I unfortunately didn't get a chance to try it. Overall, a well-thought-out and delicious menu for vegans.
The restaurant is pricey but delicious! They offer a wide variety of healthy meal choices. Remember to bring your vaccination card to access the Botanical Garden and the Cafe.
We were aware that there were two dining options at the New York Botanical Garden, but the Hudson Garden Grill was closed. We found the selection at the café to be limited.
I am basing this review solely on the hot chocolate I ordered and my interaction with the staff. A friend and I visited this restaurant on Saturday, January 16, 2021 for the NYBG Glow event.
