What can I say? This is a cozy little spot in the Bronx for delicious Dominican food. My wife and kids really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the staff was wonderful. The chef even came out and took a picture with my daughters! We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend it! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Cocina De Yala:
Really? The food was ok. I ordered the chicken Breast with sweet plantains, and got charged around $20 for something I could have made with $5 bucks. Definitely not worth it for me. I won't order again. Thank you. View all feedback.
Overly priced Dominican food. Food is good, but the price is exorbitant. No appetizers like bread and butter before meal. Place is small but cozy. Service ok, but not exceptional. too pricey. Won?t go there again.

Yala's food is divine. Everything is naturally seasoned and crafted with high-quality ingredients, love, dedication, and expertise. It’s truly delightful and satisfying. Thank you; I will definitely return again and again!
This restaurant offers authentic Dominican cuisine with beautiful presentation. The customer service is outstanding, and the highlight is definitely the fresh juice. While many restaurants in New York are good, this one is a must-visit.
This is a lovely, clean restaurant with friendly staff. The music creates a pleasant atmosphere at just the right volume. Their tamarind juice and lemonade have a nice strong flavor without being overwhelming. The skirt steak and the octopus prepared two ways (pulpo de parilla) were both delicious. The octopus, in particular, was perfectly balanced in terms of salt and acidity.
