Jalisco Tacos - BRONX

Jalisco Tacos has all the makings off a great Mexican antojitos restaurant, except one. It has the small, humble stature, the friendly staff, the limited and concentrated menu. But what it lacks, unfortunately, is the exceptional ingredients, at least for more interesting items like tongue and tripe. Other diners came in ordering chicken and pork and beef, nothing too irregular, and I advise to follow their lead. Their large and overstuffed tacos $2.75 each, below) are a good deal for the amount you get. The lengua tongue) is filled with large chunks, but they are below average and strangely all the tacos come topped with shredded American. He asked me if I wanted yellow or white cheese and was sad I picked white since it had already been applied. The queso blanco that covered it only slightly reduced this oddity. Also unexceptional was the tripe, but I do think any chorizo, bistek , or pollo taco would be better. Luckily there was a nice carne enchilada on the tostada $2.75, below)

Very good authentic tacos and tostadas. Had the tostada with pernil, a taco with ground beef, and a taco with chorizo, cc style. All were good but I think the tostada was my favorite and the ground beef my favorite of the meats.

This a good convenient taco spot that I found on my way back to work, and what a luxury it was to eat their food. The tacos I ordered were Spicy Steak, and Ground beef, and they were made pretty quickly, and the owner and the chef were really nice people. They also hooked up my meal and weren’t stingy at all! I will def come back for steak tacos and other things on their menu, however, I do not recommend eating ground beef tacos, because the tacos with ground beef inside fell apart quickly. Overall definitely a great experience! Try their hot sauces, they give it a great kick along with your tacos!

Delicious Mexican food. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, soups, fajitas, guacamole, et cetera, modified to your preference. Wide variety of traditional fillings and toppings. Very fresh and flavorful. Several spicy sauces from which to choose. Excellent prices. They work very quickly and efficiently. Larger orders are welcome. Several tables for dining on site.

Every South Bronx Mexican restaurant you go to now is based of this jewel! Best authentic Mexican food in the area.
