It seems that the quality and variety of food at the Bronx Zoo have significantly improved in recent years, with an expanded selection of vegan, vegetarian, and health-conscious options, including sandwiches, salads, black bean burgers, and warm dishes. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, I’m willing to overlook that, as it’s typical for places like this. The staff were friendly, and both the indoor and outdoor dining areas were clean and well-maintained. I would definitely order the veggie panini again.

I appreciate that, while the menu used to focus mostly on fried foods, they now offer their own salad options, fruit salads, and some healthier choices. Is it pricey? Yes, but I see it as a way to support animal welfare with my meal. They also serve beer and spiked seltzer for those interested. Definitely the go-to spot in the Bronx Zoo post-quarantine!
