I ordered delivery and live just 5 minutes away, but it took nearly 2 hours to receive my order of stew chicken. When I called to inquire about the status, I was met with attitude and misinformation regarding my order. The food itself was only average. Overall, the experience was terrible. I won't be coming back!

However, I gave a 2-star rat... read more Overall, I've found everything I've eaten here to be quite good and it definitely lives up to the standards of authentic yard food. However, I gave a 2-star rating for the service due to the long wait times. Customers using food delivery services (like Uber Eats or DoorDash) are prioritized, which increases the wait for those dining in. There's only one person attending to in-store customers while the rest focus on fulfilling delivery orders. The atmosphere also received a 2-star rating mainly because of the terrible parking situation in the area. That being said, I do appreciate that they are open consistently, and the food is generally fresh. I've tried a variety of dishes here, including oxtail, jerk chicken, fried chicken, all the soups, all the porridges, escovitch fish, mac and cheese, fried dumplings, and ackee and callaloo. You really can’t go wrong with any of them. Overall, I highly recommend this place—it's a favorite in the Bronx!
