Initially captivating with its aesthetics, patrons quickly noted inconsistencies in service and food quality. While some experienced delightful festive meals with attentive staff, others reported cold food and limited vegetarian options. The selection of cask ales is appreciated, yet some found the drinks average at best. Despite mixed reviews, the pub offers a pleasant setting for family gatherings and events, making it a decent option, although not exceptional. Overall, expect a good experience, but manage your expectations.
Visited for Christmas day lunch with family. We were looked after by Rachel, Mia and some other team members. I chose Scallops (particularly delicious), Beef Wellington and the Raspberry Blondie. All delicious and arrived to the table hot as appropriate! The only thing that let the meal down, for me, was the roast potatoes...I didn't enjoy those...a little undercooked and little flavour but this did not affect the overall experience of the meal! It was busy and staff were clearly earning their money but the atmosphere was lovely and unhurried. Rachel was attentive and friendly and keen to ensure that everything was just right for us as did all the staff who are a credit to Vintage Inns and not forgetting all the behind the scenes team slaving away in the kitchen! Well done all.

Visited on Xmas eve. Very busy but staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our waiter Adam was fantastic. Great personality, very genuine and apologised when things took a bit longer than usual. But it was Xmas eve so it was very busy. Food yummy and service great
Excellent service by Collette. There were 15 in our party and nothing was too much trouble for her. Food was good but the service made it a very special Christmas Eve lunch. Thank you
