We have been loyal customers of this takeaway for several years and would not consider going anywhere else. The food is clearly freshly prepared, especially the moist and delicious chicken. The family who owns the establishment is wonderful and always remembers our preferences. We highly recommend this place. View all feedback.
What Missrockandrose doesn't like about Peking Chinese Takeaway:
I only every ate from Mr Wongs, but for the last few months I have changed to Peking after my partner convinced me as he had been eating there for years. We ordered cantonese style spicy chicken with no veg, we got back home to open it and it was full of veg which makes the crispy chicken soggy, so i ALWAYS have no veg. We called up as we a regulars who never complain to inform her of the mistake they made and she re... View all feedback.

I have been a resident of Catshill all my life, now 44 years old, and have been a customer of Peking since I was a teenager. I really like the couple who run the takeout - they are helpful, friendly, and always give a warm welcome. However, I am disappointed to say that the quality of the food has been consistently declining. The meal they served me recently was unacceptable. The chips were a dark gray color from the dirty oil they were fried in, and the spare ribs were undercooked and raw. I was extremely upset, but did not report them because I have a soft spot for the couple. If their hearts are no longer in the business, perhaps it would be best for them to sell and move on.
I absolutely adore this Chinese restaurant! The owners, a woman and her husband, are incredibly friendly and always welcome you with a smile. The food is consistently fantastic as well.
I have using the Peking takeaway for a number of years and have always found the food and service excellent. Would confidently recommend.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We normally order from Mr Wong’s next door, which is exceptional. Unfortunately Mr Wongs is closed on a Monday, so we decided to order from Peking. Firstly, they don’t accept payments by credit/debit card, which to me is very strange in this day and age. But most importantly the food is vile. I’m actually outraged at the quality of “food” I received this evening. In fact I wouldn’t even call what I was served “food” as it was barely recognisable and most definitely not edible. Crispy duck and pancakes- deep fried breast dripping in fat. Plum sauce- I can only describe as gravy with a thick layer of grease. Only enough cucumber and spring onion for 1 pancake. Sweet and sour chicken balls- not much bigger than the size of a grape. Sweet and sour sauce- tasted bland, nothing like what you’d expect. Chips- dripping in grease. We ordered more but didn’t even bother to open the cartons. Everything was cold, but that’s probably because my Husband drove down to get it expecting to be able to pay on card, then had to return home to get some cash and then return back again to pick up the “food”. Shouldn’t have bothered going back at all. I did take the food back and I did try to complain and explain what was wrong, but the woman just kept speaking over me saying “ok, ok, ok”. I did receive a full refund, but no apology or even the courtesy of being listened to. Avoid Peking like the plague. If you fancy a Chinese takeaway in Catshill make sure Mr Wong’s is open.
