What User likes about Our Plaice:
great, no nonsense, old-fashioned fish and chip shop. good quality and generous portion. I had the small cod, chips and side(mushy peas) in box, the £6.70 the size was as big as I could and there were no waste. not the fastest service and the personal could have been more cheerful, but hey, we all have days how to judge that for me. We chose to dine at this restaurant after a long day, but it ended up being our first and last visit. The fries were tough (likely due to using low-quality carrots instead of frying them properly) and the fish was small, dry, and chewy. We ordered two fish and chips, two curry sauces, and a side of mushy peas, all for just under £19. View all feedback.

Had set and nierenpis rubbish, especially not barely baked meat. meat tastes watery terrible the fuchs had it the chips tasted also terrible.

What has happened to this Our Plaice since its refurbishment? I used to rave to friends and family about the quality of the chips here. But now they are less than average. The so called homemade pies are dry and unappetising, however, the fish does still seem to be good and so it should at £6 a pop. I leave this review with a heavy heart about Our Plaice (Hagley) and have given them over a year to get back on track. This was our number one chip shop for over 10 years.

Really used to love my Steak and kidney pie and chips from here but now they do so call home made steak pies only and they are not cutting the mustard such a shame.

Must be the only chip shop that asks you to wait OUTSIDE after you’ve placed your order I know so many people who have stopped using this chip shop due to this practice.

Used to love going there for fish and chips, but the last visit wasn't too good. The chips wasn't fully cooked and the fish was lacking in flavour. Hoping for an better experience next time.
