Brilliant place. Wonderful food, lovely staff and atmosphere. This is now my cafe of choice. At the same time I get a history lesson from every wall. I love it here. View all feedback.
What vivian r doesn't like about Spitfire Cafe Biggin Hill:
Even before we ordered we were uncomfortable with the blasting out of a radio station playing hugely intrusive music. We decided even before the food arrived that we wouldn't return because of the awful noise. Food wasn't memorable. Good sausages, not very tasty black pudding -thinly sliced ? and tasteless. Very welcoming service and a good breakfast. the memory is fantastic and keeps the incredible layers alive.
Well worth a visit to the museum and the cafe. Great sandwich and friendly staff who are full of information about the site.
Really good cooked English breakfast in this cafe with my family following my flight in a Spitfire just up the road. I had the ‘sally B’ egg, sausage, hash brown, bacon etc. perfectly cooked, really tasty. Excellent service considering it was filled to capacity. Friendly, service in a very patriotic and atmospheric surrounding
Ordered two named breakfasts. Included tea and coffee but because we didn’t want the generic drinks and wanted an Americno and latte, that was fully extra for both. A total of &22!!! Both were disgusting. Food was ok. Service was poor by a mature grumpy lady who clearly didn’t want to be working there on a Sunday. Definitely won’t visit again
Mick Sally, the owners of this cafe, are incredibly welcoming and have put in a lot of effort to not only create a fantastic cafe, but also to showcase the RAF's significance during World War II, as Biggin Hill was a crucial fighter base. They are also dedicated to supporting charity, particularly those that benefit veterans.
