This restaurant has received mixed reviews, with some customers expressing disappointment in the quality and value of the food. Despite pleasant atmospheres and friendly staff at times, others have noted instances of rude service. However, there are positive comments about the delicious food, especially the full English breakfast and afternoon tea. The dog-friendly environment and unique decor make it an appealing spot for many. Overall, while there are some areas needing improvement, this restaurant seems to have potential for those looking for a charming, local dining experience.

I absolutely adore Scott's Kitchen. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and they are willing to accommodate any request. During my recent visit, I tried the stack and I fell in love with it. It consisted of several pancakes, streaky bacon, cumberland sausage, and maple syrup. I highly recommend drizzling the syrup over the sausage and bacon as well, it completely changes the game. In the past, I also tri... View all feedback.
What SNibbles35 dislikes about Scott's Kitchen:
Food was OK but marred by the bill at the end. It was afternoon tea with friends and one had to cancel at the last minute as she was ill. In these covid times you can't come if you have any symptoms. So 10 of us instead of 11. We were charged for all 11 bookings as that was their policy, which I do understand but made it expensive for the rest of us. At £22 for afternoon tea it was already pricey. Food was good but t... View all feedback.
Visited this place today and was shocked and won't be back. Awful quality, rude management, extortionate prices... Stay away!
Ordered a burger from Scott's kitchen, under the assumption for £13 we would be getting a decent quality burger. When it arrived it was 2 birds eye burgers slapped in a bun with the worst cheese and greasy bacon. Couldn't even finish it. Terrible, certainly will not be going again.
I hate leaving negative reviews but feel a need to do. We just visited Scott's for lunch and very disappointed. My wife was assured that the soup was homemade so ordered that. What arrived was a bowl of MSG that was plainly not homemade, served with cheap bread slapped with margarine. When we questioned whether this was home made the manager came out to our table with an aggressive F you attitude and continued to claim it was home made. He did eventually offer a replacement but it was clear from his whole demeanor that he didn't want to do this. The quality of food and service has deteriorated here so we'll go elsewhere. It's a shame.
The food is great and the service is brilliant! Great range of breakfasts and lunches. Pasta amatriciana is a must to order!
I visited here for the first time on Thursday, I loved the very quirky deco and the cosy setting area inside and out . The staff were very friendly and welcoming , and the owner was funny . As for the food it was fab I had a full English breakfast which was delicious and I will be back compliments to the chef . I will be a regular customer.
