GIORGIO,Go walk the sheep if you can't be bothered to serve clients !you were rude, disrepefctul and annoyed when we asked you to reheat the food that was cooked three days ago and also asked three times for the menu!!
It was my first time here and I took my dad for his birthday! We loved the food and service the experience was so authentic! I write this review a week later as I had to come back with my brother and cousins!
A pretty good quality Italian restaurant, one of the better ones in Chisle. I'll run through the details: Starters: Zucchini fruit excellent Goujons of sole: ok ish not a huge portion poorly presented Mains: Calves liver excellent Vitelli al lim one excellent Escalope Milanese solid Contortions: I salad very good; potatoes, peas Dessert: cassata ice cream excellent Crème brûlée home made very good Bottle of Italian white (28.00) good cold Two coffees Came to 150 for three Look it all adds up doesn't it and it felt a tad expensive but service was good, we ate outside on a lovely day and really it was very pleasant.
I recently left a review on Google, and now I am writing another review here as the response from the restaurant to my previous review is inaccurate. I want to share my experience again to make sure future diners are not misled. I ordered a bottle of Gavi di Gavi, but was given a subpar bottle of Gavi instead. When I informed the waiter of the mistake, he insisted that the wine served was Gavi di Gavi. After pointing out the error, the waiter became frustrated and took the bottle away without explanation. The manager later came to our table with a different bottle, but instead of offering the original wine or an alternative, he simply said it would cost an extra £10. The restaurant's response to my initial review claimed that they inform customers when a wine is not available, but this was not the case in my experience. I urge anyone visiting this restaurant to double check that they receive the correct wine. I hope this review prevents other diners from being misled in the future. Due Amici, please be fair to your customers – you already charge enough without resorting to such tactics. Extremely disappointing.
I visited this Italian restaurant for the first time and opted for the lunch menu. There was a good selection of starters and main courses to choose from. Bread and olives were served with a cover charge on the bill. The food was all delicious, served hot and well presented, but the portions were a bit small for a lunch menu. I enjoyed the traditional sweet trolley that was brought to our table, and the tiramisu and sliced oranges in liqueur were excellent. I felt a bit rushed at times, but overall it was a very enjoyable meal and good value for the price.
