I visited this restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day. All I can say is, wow! The carvery was incredible, with delicious roast potatoes, perfectly cooked meats, and delectable vegetables. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I believe this will now be my go-to spot for Sunday dinner! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The George Inn:
If I wanted to be told to leave when at table as I'd stayed longer than their stipulated time I would have gone to McDonald's, my idea of paying good money for Sunday lunch is a dining experience with family taking your time in a leisurely fashion, they don't even have a area you could move to to unwind.sorry won't be going back disgusting way to carry on. Nice eating, friendly staff, and there is a beer garden with a beautiful view that I did not recognize was there. will go back.
Service very slow and forgot a person order (but didn't charge us for it) chairs needed kisses as the people had a job to reach the table

Was looking forward to visiting g as it hadn't long opened after thr refurb went to try thr carvery what can I say wasn't the best the Yorkshire puddings u could squeeze the oil out of them there was that much we had been there 30 minutes before we had food the roast potatoes were cold wasn't worth the price defined better carverys about won't be going back
Went for a lunchtime meal in a group of 4. Had a Carvery meal so able to help yourself to everything except for the various roasts. Good selection of vegetables and sauces, so you won't leave hungry . As its a Wadworth's pub they serve good quality beer. There is ample parking and garden area seating if the weather is warm. Only open lunchtimes though so check website for more details.
