Fantastic food and unpretentious service. Enjoyed lunch here more, and at a fraction of the cost, compared to Noma affiliate Restaurant Barr in Copenhagen for example. Highly recommended! View all feedback.
What Jan N doesn't like about Raadhuskaelderen:
There was no other than us two in the restaurant so there was lovely peace and tranquility to work. Friendly service, good food, however, took it a little time to prepare it. View all feedback.
Super place, good parking conditions, good food and nice operation, super good beds and good room.
Eated in the hotel's restaurant. Sweet and friendly service. The best Asparges soup I have got long and a delicious omelet to the main dish. Please come again.
Unfortunately, there is no lounge to sit and relax in the evening. We did get the thermos filled with hot water at breakfast.
Neat hotel, excellent breakfast. Location is in the middle of the city.
Hotel Phønix has a central location in Brønderslev, which makes the hotel attractive for a city break. The hotel has a quiet atmosphere and contains a lot of history the floors creak and rock a bit, but it didn't bother us too much as we lived at the end of the corridor. There is no lift and this makes it difficult for people with reduced mobility to move up the stairs with their suitcases. The parking lot is undersized, and you have to be lucky to even find a free space during the day. More parking spaces, which should be registered and clearer markings would be desirable. As it is now, you have to share the few places with a doctor's office and Jyske Bank's customers. Our room was nice and clean, but had some significant shortcomings. Desk and real beds/nightstands were completely missing. Instead, there was a small, fragile, round metal tray table on four thin legs and ditto two smaller, round tables by the beds. The lamps were very dull halogen lamps, which gave a cold beam of light. All in all, a very scrappy and boring solution. There was a complete lack of storage space/shelf/furniture for the suitcases. The wardrobe was small, narrow and poorly placed. There was no art or pictures on the walls so the coziness was absent. The breakfast was okay but not great. The selection was limited and can probably only take home 3 stars. The coffee was on the same level. The restaurant is very nice in classic style and decor and you feel comfortable. The staff are smiling and service minded. We ate three times and the main courses were heavy and a bit grandma like. Three stars maximum for the main courses. The starters were fish pate which were watery and rather tasteless. It was piled high with a fistful of boring green decorations boring and unprofessional. Two stars is overkill for this lackluster performance. The beer was good and well poured. All in all, there is room for improvement across the board.
