New York Gyro - Brodheadsville

Just hungered for a GYRO and spotted this restaurant on east side of a strip mall. Typical Greek cooking; Tried the gyro plate and it was great tasting. Ordered spanikopita to go! Owner was friendly and hard worker who delights in preparing her country's cuisine.

We were regulars when they were under the old ownership. We usually buy our gyros one the way is comes and one plain with the sauce on the side and a large Greek salad. So we ordered the normal, the reason for 3 stars is because of the portion size. They are under new ownership, seem very nice, but you need to put some meat in your gyros, shouldn't be a quarter filled with meat. We will try them again because there gyro meat flavor is good, so will try one more time to see if it was just a bad day for them or the person making the gyros. And will update our review if need be, which we hope, since we really use to enjoy this place. The salad was good for a Greek salad.

What a wonderful place...delicious Greek food....and American. Excellent service!!!! You don't find food like this anywhere around here.. Definitely worth the drive!!!! Tell them that Cris sent you!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! If I could give them less than one star I would. I received raw chicken. The older man took it back and refried it. The food that was edible was absolutely terrible. I would rather starve to death than eat here again. Also lady that works at the front is an angry miserable mean person.

My fiancé and I wanted to try a new place instead of our usual selections. So I found this place. They only have a Facebook so far. I read the reviews. Every review that I read was very good. Most reviews raved about the authenticity of the Greek cuisine. So we tried it. Well, let me say this: The reviews are from people who eat anything and think all food is great or they don't know what truly authentic Greek food tastes like. The food was acceptable. We had the Chicken Gyro and some sides. It was your regular cheap ingredients you would get at almost all fast food gyro joints. The lamb comes from the predictable large roll of, who knows what kind of meat? The people that left reviews, and you perhaps, don't know true authentic Greek food around here unless you have tried Cedars Mediteranian Grill in Stroudsburg PA. Everything is home made. The lamb (which I never liked before I went there) is marinated overnight in some fantastic flavors yum yum! I DO NOT WORK OR PERSONALLY KNOW THE RESTAURANT. I am just a huge fan of the food for many years. It is less costly then this here place too. I have been ruined to any other Greek place besides Cedars hee hee.
