What Sara More doesn't like about Ambur Star Briyani:
We have visited many of their outlets spread across many cities in Tamilnadu and I am personally a big fan of their biriyani. But this new one closer to salem on the right side when you travel from Coimbatore to salem was an utter disappointment....First they did not give you a menu. What disappointed us the most was that when you ordered for a mutton biriyani, they served us only half the quantity of what was served... View all feedback.
Located on the coimbatore salem highway just after perundurai, this place serves one of the best ambur style biryani. their mutton biriyani is really fantastic. the meat is so tender and juicy. The restaurant is big, airconditioned and has good toilet facilities.
First of all,. it is purely a biriyani hotel with non veg dry items available..No other variety available. Only oral menu cards available despite waiters with gadgets for taking orders. A simple print out could have served the job
My wife wanted to taste Star Briyani at this place in NH 47 outskirts of Perunthurai whenever we travelled from Pollachi to Sankagiri. Finally I relented and bought her a take away. The hotel was empty, the guy at the counter was not willing to accept debit card payments only after insisting to complain he accepted saying there will be additional 2% charges, there was no registration certificates on display and finally the Briyani parcel came. My wife was excited at the sight of it, we started our journey and as soon as she had her first bite she screamed its a "Tomato rice with boiled chicken"
Been to this restaurant during our drive from Chennai to Trissur last weekend. We (family of four - two adults
