This is a perfect spot for a relaxed and cozy stay. The room was bright and airy, and the bed was very comfortable. There was an abundance of tea and coffee available in the room. The welcome was warm, and David, the host, has a remarkable ability to make everyone feel right at home. For business travelers, the Wi-Fi in the room was impressively fast (we experienced speeds of 35 Mb/sec), which is not something you of... View all feedback.
David the owner is very friendly helpful as we are all staffed. good breakfast and dinner. room had bottle water tee coffee, beautiful view. as with many places there are always updates to do. large open irradiated fireplaces so that we also see in winter. I'll see you again and thank you.
We had a one night stay at the plough what a mistake could have stayed a month lovely setting beautiful old country inn with a roaring log fire and the most fantastic host who has been there since 1982 he takes hosting to a new level for me far better than I have come across staying in 5 star hotels. The plough eludes old world charm full of wooden beams and history, lovely comfortable rooms, The evening meal was amazing value and tasted yummy served by really friendly staff David quietly over seeing every thing and they served the best continental coffee I have ever had Fab nights sleep and awoke to a gorgeous dawn chorus which just puts you in a great mood, Breakfast was amazing and even given fresh fruit for the journey home. To sum up great value fab food wonderfull views Great staff wonderful atmosphere and a amazing host thank you David see you very soon
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here , good service and the food was delicious, I know it's been hard for restaurants for quite some time but we really felt this lovely pub is getting back to its best .
The pub Inn is a lovely country pub with an open fire, decent seating and serves good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was cooked to perfection and it had a door atmosphere. The hotel side is comfortable but tired. Carpets need replacing and the rooms need a lick of paint. The towels had holes in them and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall! Don't get me wrong, it was clean and reasonably comfortable for one night but I would not stay longer than just one night. Pub is definitely woth a visit.
We dine at this lovely establishment two or three times a year whilst visiting relatives and it is always a comfortable, welcoming pub in beautiful rural surroundings. The menu is varied, good sized, well prepared portions at very reasonable prices. Covid safe. Highly recommended.
