Le Blaireau - Brockenhurst

We enjoyed a lovely dinner for two, even though we made a last-minute reservation. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming. I had a goat cheese starter, which was fantastic, and my partner tried a swordfish steak for the first time, which was out of this world.

I had a wonderful experience dining here. We ordered a variety of appetizers, including fish soup, charcuterie, duck pâté, and camembert, and we were not disappointed. The flavor combinations were fantastic, especially when paired with the net part of the dish, which was obviously well thought out. However, I did find the dish a bit on the salty side, and there wasn't quite enough sauce for the chips. The duck pâté was a standout favorite, and while I would have preferred the French twill over the fish, it was still incredibly delicious and smooth.

I really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely return if I found myself in the area again in the future. I had the steak, and it was absolutely delicious. However, I did find the prices to be a bit on the expensive side.

We have dined here several times over the past few years and the food has always been of a high standard. The restaurant has a pleasant, friendly atmosphere and the staff attentive.
