Gottersons Fish Chips - Broadland
Gottersons Fish Chips
Description
Mixed reviews for this traditional chippy - some unhappy customers complained of overcooked, subpar meals and poor customer service. However, others praised the friendly staff and delicious, affordable food options like the battered sausages and fish items. A noticeable lack of cleanliness was a concern, but speedy service and flavorful dishes kept some customers coming back. If you're in Aylsham, it might be worth a try, just be cautious of potential quality inconsistencies.

The staff member at the counter was unable to distinguish between Cod and Haddock. I had ordered Cod and chips, but received a different meal upon arriving home. The fish had a yellow color and tasted bad. When I returned the fish and asked what it was, I was informed that it was Haddock. I requested that the staff member taste it, but he refused and laughed at me. This lack of customer service is concerning, as well as a potential health issue. I will be taking further action regarding this experience. Be cautious when dining at this establishment.
Bought 2 x fish chips curry sauce. It was quite early, 4.40pm. The batter on the fish was very dark, chips quite dark. I thought the cooking oil should have been refreshed long ago. Felt sick all evening after eating. Curry sauce was poor, dark, vinegar tainted not nice. Staff were friendly. Sorry honest review. Was a bad end to what was a nice day out in North Norfolk.
The food was decent but not inexpensive. The staff seemed in need of a wake-up call.
