We stopped here in the middle of a walk. It has a really traditional old style pub atmosphere. Our dog was welcomed into the room on the left. I ordered fish and chips and it was the best I've ever had! Batter was thin and crispy, not greasy, fish so fresh it melted in your mouth, tasty proper mushy peas with mint and crispy thin fries. Couldn't have had better at a fine dining restaurant. Very friendly service and candles lit on the table. What a little gem this pub is.

Of us plus dogs enjoyed an excellent bar meal, served by very present and friendly staff, at a cosy table near the wood burner. for all of us including drinks, great value for money in one of the most atmospheric and unspoilt pubs in Norfolk. Very highly recommended!

An authentic English pub in a wonderful setting. The decor and layout reveals the origins and history of the public house . Great beer and a menu to suit all. Such a warm and friendly welcome. Cannot be bettered.
