Went with friends for a Christmas Lunch and really enjoyed the food and the friendly atmosphere of the place in general. The staff were very efficient and helpful. Felt the overall experience was even better than last year. Good start to Christmas. View all feedback.
What Darren Tabernor doesn't like about Blue Boar Pub:
The rooms were outdated and in need of renovation. Almost everything felt sticky to the touch. I wouldn't recommend booking if you plan on eating, as the restaurant was not operational. The beds were very uncomfortable and felt cheap. If all you need is a place to rest, this may suffice. It's disappointing because it has the potential to be better. We won't be staying here again. Large Pub which I believe has been recently refurbished, very nice child friendly garden, good place to meet up with friends for a drink, on the evening I visited the Cook must have been having an off day as the food was pretty poor .
A superb lunch today at the Blue Boar! And very friendly helpful staff! Be sure to look at all the blackboard menus!
Just came in for the burger special. Omg what a deal. Two 8oz steak burgers for£15. Both burgers were beyond expectations every part of them was thought through and executed to such a high standard.
The meal was a family meal for 7 people. The food was standard nothing out of the ordinary. I would advise m people to look at the menu online. They did have about 3 specials but nothing special in my opinion.
Very friendly waitress and excellent service. Happy to chop and change the menu to suit my dieting needs. Only thing again the place in general was my husband wanted to watch football in the bar but there were children running around and making a lot of noise.so we just ate and left
