I visited on 2 consecutive days and had a nice fruit scone with clotted cream and jam. Service at counter and I sat at one of the outside tables in the sun. Extra hot water given on request. Garden centre itself seemed surprisingly empty with few customers. View all feedback.
What K5184SWpaulh doesn't like about Alysham Farm Shop Coffee Shop:
The staff at this restaurant are rude and untrained, and the new owners are no better. I have been coming here for breakfast since it opened, but the staff lack customer service and attentiveness. When I tried to purchase three pairs of sunglasses that were marked as £10 but scanned as £5, the cashier refused to serve me and called for backup, causing a scene. Despite my attempts to resolve the situation calmly, we w... View all feedback.
I want to stand up for this establishment and its amazing, dedicated team against a few unjust reviews. One incident involved the local police and another was from a unhappy delivery driver. Any form of verbal or physical abuse is not tolerated here. The center is filled with friendly staff, beautiful plants, unique gifts, tasty food, and a wonderful coffee shop/restaurant that offers delicious homemade meals with excellent service. You won't be let down when you come to visit.
Just passing by and popped in for a really good full English breakfast.Friendly staff made this a memorable visit. Please be aware they only accept cash .
Aylsham Farm Coffee Shop is a place where you can get a nice cup of tea and cake The day I went it was very quiet but i suspect it is quite busy at weekends
Breakfast today was very nice. Friendly attentive staff and good food equals the perfect winning combination. Looking forward to the next time.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for breakfast. We had been to the Garden Centre before, but this was our first time at the cafe. The Garden Centre has a large car park with plenty of spaces. The cafe has a lovely decor, with light and airy surroundings adorned with items available for purchase from the shop. You can choose to sit inside, in a conservatory area, or outside. We chose to sit inside. My husband ordered a large breakfast, while I opted for toast and jam, and we both ordered tea. After placing our order and paying at the till, we had to collect our own cutlery and sauces before finding a table. The ordering process was slow and a bit chaotic, with a long queue forming at the till. Despite the wait, our food arrived quickly, which was a red flag. My toast was underwhelming, with a soft texture and a barely toasted crust. My husband's breakfast was a mix of cold and lukewarm, making it inedible. He returned his meal and, although the replacement had a better quality, it was late, causing a disappointing experience for both of us. The scones we took home were tasty, but overall the food was not worth the price. The staff seemed unfriendly and untrained, making the service shambolic. The cakes looked delicious, so this might be a better choice for dessert and coffee while exploring the Garden Centre. We will return to the Garden Centre for plants, but not to the cafe for a meal.
