Cliftons on High - BROADFORD

Clifton's on High is a popular meeting place for locals and passing travellers. It has a good selection of home made country cooking. The girls are friendly and welcoming. Not open Mondays.

Friendly staff and yummy food, nice environment for a brunch date with friends. Prices could be a little more reasonable but otherwise worth a try!

We turned off the freeway to eat breakfast here. My husbands bacon and eggs was presented well and well cooked, there was plenty of bacon, and he enjoyed them. I ordered Eggs Florentine. The eggs were cooked well, the dish was well presented, but the Florentine Sauce was not Florentine sauce, but Mayonnaise! So disappointing. The third member of our party had fruit bread, which was dry. The coffee was the biggest disappointment. Someone needs to do a Barista course. It was weak, milky and came before the meal, so was cold by the time we drank it. The milk tasted like it had been heated and reheated and reheated. This could be a great place to eat. But it falls down by taking short cuts with the sauce and by serving weak overboiled milk coffee.

Driving through Broadford we stopped off for a quick bite. Pleasantly surprised with wide range of menu all reasonably priced. Enjoyed a lunch quickly and beautifully served by pleasant waitress. Very friendly, clean and fast service.

The food is ok at cliftons the service is not bad but if you order coffee make sure you ask for a double shot or you'll get a warm cup of mil flavoured coffee
