A very fun place! Friendly and welcoming waiters! Good food and affordable prices! A vibey place to come to any day of the week for either some drinks with mates or just to enjoy some live music! View all feedback.
Their food is incredible!! My absolute fav was the Creamy Chicken Trinchado and their Jalapeño Rissoles are DA BOMB! <br/ <br/ I had a couple munches from the burgers and those are just as good! (Again not a burger person so that means a lot! <br/ <br/ GIVE IT A GO!
We went to the Sundowner Pub for their weekly Thursday night quiz and karaoke. Quizmaster Brad makes the quiz challenging but fun and the karaoke is great even if one is a spectator who is not quite brave enough to get up there and sing. The pub is split into smoking and non-smoking but this doesn't hinder the quiz and karaoke at all.<br/ <br/ Our party of four had the Sundowner schnitzel which was superb, the Better Melt Burger (Cheese and mushroom) was absolutely delicious and the Snack Platter was really, really tasty (sorry, I forgot to take pics). The food is also always very well presented.<br/ <br/ You must come hungry because the servings are all really generous.<br/ <br/ The servers are busy but always around when one needs them.<br/ <br/ There are a lot of older generation regulars in the non smoking section and the younger crowd seem to prefer the smoking section. There is also a patio for those who prefer to sit outside. It's a friendly, cozy, welcoming place where anyone can become a regular
Best Nachos in town, home made tortillas chips make it sooo much better that the store bought ones other places use.The Big Boy Babalas breakfast is also a winner and great value for money. With some great drink specials, friendly waiters and owner, this is a great spot for after work drinks or a local pub vibe.

I arrived just in time to catch the opening ceremony of the final match at a local pub, The Sundowner.<br/ <br/ I have been there many times during my high school years, ownership had changed quite a few times, but the current owner seems invested and determined to change this old but energetic establishment into a local's choice.<br/ <br/ The venue was pumping and packed with customers to watch the Wimbledon final and the soccer world cup final. Sundowner seemed prepared and ready for cheering customers with great thirsts for beverages, warmth and a good time.<br/ <br/ Fighting hunger and joining my parents there on a late Sunday afternoon, I ordered a nice hot chocolate to assist in my survival of this cold front, I gave into my hunger.<br/ <br/ I ordered one of their specials: 1/2 fish and chips. It was divine! It was Warm! It was filling!<br/ <br/ Based on the price of it, well worth the spend. Though fortunate, one could argue I was served the bigger half of the fish. Accompanied with a delicious sauce which I finished entirely, I was served warm, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, chips. It was a classic and common dish, but delicious. Unfortunately, I did not get the ingredients or name of the sauce.<br/ <br/ My father and I enjoyed a shot of Soweto toilets just before leaving, a banana liquor topped with some form of cream liquor. My father also enjoyed his 1/2 bangers and mash, though it did take long for it to reach him.<br/ <br/ Though management was scarce, and the service was beyond slow, even for a packed venue, I enjoyed my visit and shall be returning soon. Thus, more reviews to follow on their other dishes, beverages and atmosphere.<br/ <br/
