Mimmos Douglasdale

Mimmos is a bit like going to the Spur, the food is not over the top but you know exactly what you going to get so you can't be too disappointed at the end of the evening.

Dropped in for a pizza a few days ago. Still one of the best pizzas around. Thin crust was nice and crispy with a sufficient amount of coverage. I most definitely will be back for another soon.

Decided to try out the Mimmo's special ... this restaurant is cosy, although with the kids running around, a little bit noisy.<br/ <br/ On Mondays and Tuesdays you can choose 2 large Classic pizzas for R100; or 2 pastas for R100;  or 1 large Classic pizza and 1 pasta for R100.<br/ <br/ Browsing the menu, we decided on a Sparerib pizza and a Mexican pizza.  Wow!  My Sparerib pizza was amazing!  Lovely thin crust and enough Sparerib bits on it.<br/ <br/ The Mexican pizza was also great, although the crust wasn't that crisp since there was a lot of toppings.<br/ <br/ Overall, a real good special!!!

Monday and Tuesday pizza/pasta special is a must! R99 for two! The chicken mayo pizza is so Delish! Douglasdale branch is a nice family venue!! Give it a try!

I've been to this branch many times, and have eaten a variety  of the dishes on the menu (pasta, pizza, salad, desserts,etc). This is, however, the first time I have  ever written a review. This  review is mostly about my latest visit: the food, the service, and an overall conclusion.<br/ <br/ Mimmos is always good for a take-out. The pizza is satisfactory. It's not the greatest pizza I've ever had in my life, but it is definitely not the worst. I ordered my favourite Mimmos pizza: the tutto (ham, salami, bacon, onion, mushroom and garlic). I was filled. <br/ <br/ Now my service experience has always been mixed: one visit they are attentive (not excessively, but just the right amount), friendly and quick to help; another visit they are slow, and too distracted. Today was a good day. Friendly and helpful. Now let's just make that a more permanent attitude.<br/ <br/ Overall I left happy, and sated.<br/ BOOM!
