Beautiful and warm setting! We always order the 1kg prawns with chips it's absolutely delicious! However when we chose the half rice, half chips option the rice was overcooked and therefore was quite disappointing. We also tried the Trinchado starter which was the tastiest I've ever had! The meat was super tender and the sauce was very well balanced and seasoned. Was not too happy about our waiter as he was quite robotic and unfriendly even though the place was not busy at all (Tues evening) but perhaps he was just having a bad personal day.

Amazing spot. Relaxed vibe, friendly waiters, delicious food. Oh, and there is so much space to really enjoy your meal privatrly. And the prices aren't bad either. Truly amazing joint.

Excellent dinner and service at Beira Alta last night. Had the T-Bone steak and my wife had the fillet. Both grilled to perfection. Particularly enjoyed the Portuguese basting they use on the T-Bone steak. The dessert was a Pyramid Chocolate Log Cheese Cake. This was not up to par for me. The combination of the cottage cheese, tennis biscuit and chocolate actually made it quite a dry dessert.... hence the four stars instead of five.
