Back daily at Africa Black again, for my single espresso and something to snack before heading to the office. View all feedback.
Since being a long weekend of sorts, my friend and I decided to go out to breakfast on a Saturday morning close to home. <br/ <br/ Our original plan was to have it at Juno Co, but when we arrived there, promptly at 0800hrs, they were still setting up. When we enquired, turns out that they were closed prepping for a private function. So AfricaBlack is plan B.<br/ <br/ We were the first customers of the day and we selected a seat on the outside. We were promptly given the menu and I placed a double cappuccino while my friend had a fruit smoothie. My coffee arrived within minutes but my friend's smoothie took quite a while so, unfortunately. <br/ <br/ We perused the food menu, and it wasn't an extensive menu but nevertheless covered the bases for a coffee shop. I selected the freshly baked croissant with scrambled eggs and bacon. While my friend selected the avo and poached eggs on toast. Thankfully per the standard, doneness of the poached eggs were enquired by the friendly waitress. <br/ <br/ I must give top marks for the decor of the restaurant. With the quirky coffee cups mounted on one face brick wall does give it a certain charm. <br/ <br/ The food when arrived was delicious but nothing wow. Though the croissant was definitely freshly baked and tasted of full fat butter. <br/ <br/ A very pleasant coffee shop in an otherwise nondescript centre. Next stop would be the one next door, Joshua Tree!
Accidentally stumbled upon this little spot. Popped in for a cappuccino and a bite to eat. A pleasant experience and great coffee! Enjoyed the tomato, mozzarella and pesto croissant. The pastry was fresh and generously filled with a thick slices of cheese, fresh tomato, generously topped with pesto. Loved the quirky decor, festive without being kitch. Loved the wall with hanging coffee cups. Cute spot for a quick coffee and bite to eat!
An overall impression of tranquility. Surprising, as it is situated alongside a major arterial road and in a semi-industrial area. Cool decor, no music and people quietly going about their meetings and business. Exactly what required for morning coffee and breakfast.<br/ <br/ Coffee is really good, and the croissant I had was fresh and tasty. Nicely flavoured cheese with basil pesto. This will become a business meeting spot for me.
Back daily at Africa Black again, for my single espresso and something to snack before heading to the office.<br/ Thank you to the staff, who have really upped their game and service really seems to be on the up.<br/ A nice new selection of wines are available when eating a variety of lunches, and I must compliment Africa Black on their amazing pizzas.<br/
My daily fix as office is here. Coffee is excellent and solid lunch menu with freshly made food. Service can be slow but improving.Fireplace in winter!
