I had a friend from out of town visiting recently and we decided to pay The Consulate UWS a visit and had a great Lobster Benedict and Iced Coffees. Our Sever Peter was amazing and top notch. Oysters were phe... read more Great experience at The Consulate UWS. Kiddo was hungry so stopped by and lucked into their happy hour menu which was a seafood lovers delight. Oysters were phenomenal as was the ceviche. Our daughter demolished the fish and chips and the truffle fries were heavenly after a day of walking. Crispy with just the right amount of salt. Chefs kiss! Service was great as well. Neighborhood gem.

My boyfriend I recently stopped in together for the first time and it was a lovely experience. The two cocktails I tried were amazing, each in their own way; the Miss O'Hara is fruity refreshing and the Jardin is light, but is so flavorful with the matcha incorporated. My boyfriend tried the Touch of Ginger and the Consulate Old Fashioned, each of which were also really yummy!! We didn't try any food during our visit, but The Consulate definitely deserves 5 stars just for the quality of their cocktails, service, and atmosphere!! UPDATE (5/18/24 : My boyfriend I returned for Saturday brunch and we had a great experience! : We sat at the bar and David took great care of us!! For cocktails, we shared their Miss O'Hara, Jardin, and tried the Your Love is King with our second round (per David's rec . Your Love is King was SO delicious, to our surprise, as this wasn't something we had originally planned to try. For food, we had the vegan Avocado Toast (although, I added 2 poached eggs on the side for me , with a side order of truffle fries. The food was as delicious as the drinks. We had a lovely experience during our 2nd visit and will 100% be back!
