Honestly, one of the most underrated places in the entire city. Super relaxed vibe, nice employees, beautiful and expansive view of western Queens, the entirety of Manhattan and planes arriving and taking off from LGA. I’m more of a beer person, so I can’t speak to the cocktails, but they seem interesting and the bartender seems to know his stuff. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. View all feedback.
What Gerard Soumabere doesn't like about The Compass:
Terrible bar and racist if you ask the bartender for a glass with ice for your drink they will not be responsive and look at you like you need to speak a foreign language in America. Extremely Rude manager and staff in this shady hotel I see why it’s always empty now. They should replace the entire staff starting from the manager to the servers as the location has potential but not with those creeps running it. The s... View all feedback.

Not our vibe, but the staff was very welcoming. Greats views outdoors
A unique bar located on a rooftop with unique views, ran by a cool staff, serving some “serious” drinks. Be warned, I watched a friend get twisted off one of the newer drinks. This is not a complaint — I prefer well crafted stiff drinks that don't seem or taste stiff while delivering a solid gut punch to your internal balance system. Fun times.
Small spot but chill vibes and a decent view for the area overlooking LGA,7 train, and citifield, definitely need to come on a better day though. Only place I've found so far making cocktails with Chinese liquors and I'll definitely try some more if offered. Karaage I had was pretty decent amount but some pieces were pretty tough, also served with a sweet sour sauce rather than the usual mayo and japanese red pepper.
It is our pleasure to have you guys around. Thanks for the compliment. We will try our best to present good drinks and positive attitude to our guests. In addition, our menu updates seasonally. There will be more interesting stuff coming up. If you’re interested I’ll attach our instagram profile below. Feel free to check on the updates. Happy holidays! Ins: @thecompassnyc
