What David Lomnitz doesn't like about Sandbar Rooftop:
Had an event there. Be aware that the general manager, John, is completely unprofessional. Despite lots of phone calls and planning, we arrived to the event and the staff knew nothing about it. Chaos for about 30” until things could quickly be organized. Don’t take a chance w an important event. Good chance you will suffer an embarrassment. Such a chill vibe with an amazing view of the Empire State building. I was lucky to be here on the 80 degree day after the 7 rainy weekends in NYC. It could not have been more perfect. Sandbar was not overly crowded which was great. The blue white decor transports you to a happy place.
